You may recall a while ago I shared with you a piece of furniture that I had saved from a 'skip' pile at a local charity donation centre. Before the weather turned too cold, I got to work sanding down the sideboard so I could get creative. I couldn't wait to get it prepped for some pretty chalk paints.

I took a leap. I have been so inspired by some of the posts that I read on other blogs, that I decided to try something new. Something a bit different for me. In our #MakingHome efforts this week I have been focusing on trying to clear out the garage which has been a dumping ground since the move. I feel like de-cluttering is a permanent job that is always on the list but I am hoping that by the end of summer we will be less cluttered and more organized. The time has come in our #MakingHome adventure to seriously think about our painting choices. Having bought a new build property, we were advised to wait for 12-18 months before painting and although we've had the odd chat about colours, picked up colour charts etc, 12 months will be approaching in October and I cannot wait to get started! I want to make sure we do a proper job from the get go so I'm starting to get to grips with what I need to think about.
